TYPE OF ESTABLISHMENT (Check One or Other)

British Tea Rooms usually serving traditional British foods such as kidney pie, cheese and sausages.  A typical offering on the menu could be a  "Ploughman's lunch" which consists of cheese, meats, pickles and crusty bread. Also scones, clotted cream, lemon curd and various desserts.  Some also offer soups, tea sandwiches and quiche. The atmosphere is comfortable, cozy, and appears less formal than a Victorian tea. Food is generally served on English bone china.

Victorian Tea Rooms usually serve dainty tea sandwiches and finger desserts on fine bone china.  The atmosphere is feminine and formal with lace, silver, and linen tablecloths. Classical music sometimes is played for ambience.

Asian Tearooms offer a great cultural experience to all.  The menu may include Gion no suki (bite size rice balls), Mochizuki (sweet bean cakes), or Ohagi (coated rice cakes) to name a few. Most often green tea is served in clay cups without handles.  Food may be served on wooden plates with chopsticks in place of silverware.  The room  dÃ^cor could include silk wall hangings, lanterns and teak accents.
