Music Echoes the Rhythm of the Universe and the Songs of the Soul
Bill Ivey Chairman - National Endowment for the Arts

The Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin gave it all up yesterday for a crowd at the Providence Performing Arts Center.

All eyes were upon her as she entered the stage dressed in white, lights bouncing off sequins spreading bursts of energy into the crowd.

My cup runneth over with soul as Aretha, the daughter of a Gospel Singer and Baptist preacher sang about respect sharing the gift of Song bestowed upon her.

Music is without a doubt food for the soul. Music is magical. Music is universal. It brings people together hands clapping hips swinging, hip hopping, guitars strumming unites people in Patriotism, hands on hearts eyes fixed high on stars and stripes, red white and blue.

Music brings people together like a pot of tea and "leaves" you full of all the good stuff.

Share a cup and give it all up or shame shame shame on you.
