A Tea Lover's Perspective of a
Dream Weaver Session with Deb Barrett
by Jenn Geronaitis
Tea Time World Wide
A Dream Weaver or "Sound Therapy" session lifts
the human spirit, frees the mind and relaxes the body.
All these things are accomplished in a drug free environment with
a trained professional an open mind, beautiful music, scented oils and
"Sacred Geometry"
You may arrive a little cautious, wide-eyed and possibly fearful
of the unknown. Attending a session through a friend or trusted referral
will ease those fears.
The session begins with a discussion about why you are there and
what you hope to accomplish. As with any form of therapy the goal is to
feel better, to address issues of concern or pain and to activate the
healing process. Deb is compassionate, nurturing and open. She shares
her own story of healing in a conversational manner more like a
friend than a therapist.
Once the goals are established a brief discussion occurs addressing the
kinds of things that may develop when the subconscious is awakened. During
the session some people may experience increased heart ratea release
of bottled up emotions or have strange dreams afterwards.
During my session I experienced a strong pulse at the top of my
head. This occurred when Deb suggested I visualize light energy
pouring into my head through a hole in the top. It was strange but empowering.
I felt alive. At another point in the session Deb asked me to imagine
a dirt path with a door at the end. In my mind I immediately saw
the door, opened it up, ran through and started dancing around inside
like a two year old in a dress up tu tu. I imagine that was an example
of the "inner bliss" associated with this form of therapy.
Through this exercise I realized that the secret of happiness lies within.
Through positive thoughts, meditation and visualization people can tap
into the unlimited supply of light, love, and energy that
surrounds each of us every day.
Meditation is one way of tapping in. The benefits of meditation
can occur by taking the time to do something you love at least once a
day. Meditation can be "active" through reading, writing,
golfing, sipping tea or simply by honoring oneself by lighting
a candle and focusing on the flame for 5 minutes at the beginning or end
of a day.
I highly recommend a Dream Weaversession with Deb Barrett.
Unlike a movie that's message stays with you for an hour, a day or a week.
The lessons learned with Deb Barrett are for life. You leave empowered,
nurtured and loved with a sense of purpose and worth. It's hard to believe
so much can be accomplished in such a short visit.
